JOHN PELOSI is a transactional attorney with a litigation background and expertise in 1st Amendment and intellectual property (copyright and trademark) matters. His early passion for music, popular culture and fine art provided direction for his legal career. His unique perspective and professional experiences have resulted in the good fortune of representing seminal and influential artists and artist estates, emerging artists, creative companies and entrepreneurial people in media and entertainment (including immersive and VR). He has particular expertise in matters relating to copyright, trademark, branding, fine art and photography (all aspects), libel and defamation, rights of publicity and media content issues. Along with representation of major publishers, creators and media companies, he has unique experience in all matters relating to artist archives and legacy representation. He has represented the interests of many iconic cultural figures and orchestrated the placement of important archives and collections with major institutions. John provides practical, efficient and effective services in contract and transactional matters as well as advice, counseling, aggressive rights protection, and dispute prosecution and resolution.

Mr. Pelosi began his career as a litigator at Shea & Gould and Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, and as Director of Legal Affairs at Polygram Holdings prior to co-founding the firm in 1997. He received his Juris Doctorate at Columbia Law School (1988) and his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Colgate University (1985).
